Congress Uttar Pradesh

Former BSP minister Izhar-ul-Haq, former BSP candidate Naeem Ahmed and other political and grassroots leaders joined the Congress in Lucknow ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2027.

The immediate issue is not a confirmed seat allocation but the negotiating position Congress will take into its discussions with the SP. Congress is simultaneously building an organisation across all 403 constituencies, while the SP continues its own statewide mobilisation, leaving the final alliance structure open.

The Samajwadi Party is preparing to launch a statewide PDA Yatra in Uttar Pradesh from October as part of its campaign preparations for the 2027 Assembly election. The proposed outreach programme will focus on the party's Pichhda, Dalit and Alpsankhyak framework and is expected to take its political message across the state.

With the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election expected in 2027, major political parties have stepped up their organisational and grassroots preparations. The BJP is focusing on booth-level coordination and workers, while the Samajwadi Party is preparing a statewide PDA Rath Yatra. Congress has also undertaken organisational changes ahead of the polls.
