As India gears up for significant political rallies and international discussions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lead two crucial election events this Thursday in Srinagar and Katra, focusing on the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.
On September 19, Modi will address a major rally at Sher-e-Kashmir Park in Srinagar, where approximately 30,000 BJP party workers are expected to gather. This event aims to rally support for BJP candidates in the upcoming elections. Following the Srinagar rally, Modi will head to Katra to address a public meeting, further emphasizing the party’s campaign efforts in the region.
The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls are progressing, with the remaining two phases scheduled for September 25 and October 1. Votes will be counted on October 8. Senior BJP leader Mohammad Anwar Khan has been appointed as the in-charge for the Srinagar rally, ensuring a well-organized event.
In parallel, BJP Haryana President J.P. Nadda will speak to party workers in Rohtak, Haryana, on the same day. During this rally, he will unveil the party’s manifesto, titled “Sankalp Patra”. Haryana voters will participate in a single-phase election on October 5, with results to be declared on October 8. This dual focus on Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana showcases the BJP‘s commitment to engaging with voters across regions as the election dates approach.
Meanwhile, India is also preparing to host the second edition of the Global Food Regulators Summit from September 19 to 21 in the national capital. Delegates from over 70 countries will convene to discuss crucial regulations related to food safety and standards. Organized by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) under the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry, this summit highlights India’s role in global food governance. The first edition took place in July 2023 as part of the G20 events, reflecting the country’s increasing prominence in international discussions on food safety.
As political rallies and global summits unfold, India is set to witness a dynamic blend of local electoral fervor and international dialogue. These events not only underscore the political landscape ahead of the elections but also demonstrate India’s commitment to addressing global food safety issues.
