On Sunday, Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda boldly declared that the BJP government in Haryana is nearing its end. He urged criminals and drug smugglers to leave the state before the Assembly poll results are announced, warning them of potential consequences if they stay. While campaigning in Sirsa district, Hooda highlighted the alarming rise in drug-related deaths, pointing out that Haryana now faces more fatalities than Punjab.
As a former chief minister, Hooda promised to confront this pressing issue directly if Congress regains power. He criticized the BJP for permitting a significant decline in law and order across the state. With the elections approaching, he emphasized the urgency for criminals to exit Haryana by October 8, the day the results will be declared.
Additionally, Hooda exposed what he described as the “hidden” alliance between the BJP and regional parties like the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP), and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP). He accused the BJP of forming these alliances to siphon off Congress votes. Nevertheless, he expressed confidence that the public increasingly recognizes this tactic as one that ultimately benefits the BJP.
“The public understands that every vote for these vote-cutting parties aids the BJP. This time, that tactic won’t succeed. All communities stand united in their support for a Congress government,” Hooda emphasized.
Looking ahead, Hooda made several key commitments to the people of Haryana. He assured them that if Congress returns to power, the government would create two lakh permanent jobs through a fair, merit-based process. He also outlined important welfare initiatives, including:
Moreover, Hooda pledged that farmers would receive a legal guarantee for the Minimum Support Price (MSP). He also announced plans to raise the creamy layer limit for OBCs from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh, allowing more individuals from backward classes to benefit from reservations.
With polling for the 90 Assembly seats in Haryana scheduled for October 5 and results expected on October 8, anticipation fills the air. Hooda’s messages resonate with many who seek change and desire a government that prioritizes the welfare of its citizens.
At this crucial moment for Haryana, Hooda’s vision of unity and progress offers a hopeful outlook for a brighter future. His plans aim to create a more equitable and prosperous state for all residents, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive.
