Priyanka Gandhi Speech at a rally in Haryana ahead of elections

A Call for Change: Priyanka Gandhi’s Rally in Haryana

Critique of the Ruling Government

On Monday, ahead of the Assembly elections, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra delivered a powerful speech at a public rally in Naraingarah, Ambala. She launched a strong critique of the ruling BJP government, asserting that it has failed to meet the needs of the people in Haryana. As the elections approach on October 5, she urged voters to consider a change in leadership.

Upholding Dignity: Farmers, Athletes, and Soldiers

Moreover, in her address, Priyanka Gandhi highlighted the sacrifices of farmers, athletes, and soldiers, stating, “These individuals have upheld the dignity of our nation, yet the BJP has consistently disrespected them.” She pointed out that, over the past decade, farmers have endured violence and neglect, often denied their rightful Minimum Support Prices (MSPs). Consequently, she questioned, “What has the BJP truly done for the people of Haryana?” This question underscored the widespread dissatisfaction among the crowd.

The Struggle of Wrestlers

In addition, Priyanka brought attention to the plight of wrestlers, who were forced to protest on the streets. “The Prime Minister couldn’t spare even five minutes to meet them,” she remarked, referencing recent events during the Olympics that showcased the struggles faced by these athletes. She asserted, “You are fighters with self-respect, battling inflation and struggling for your rights. The government has done nothing to support you. Therefore, if you want to live with dignity and seek justice, it’s time to remove this government.”

Unemployment Crisis

Furthermore, Priyanka pointed to the alarming rise in unemployment in Haryana, which she attributed directly to the current government’s policies. “Unemployment has surged under this government. There are constant paper leaks, and many government positions remain unfilled. As a result, your future looks bleak because of their inaction. They’ve merely promised change, yet farmers, wrestlers, and youth continue to face challenges. Ultimately, all we see are scams.”

A Plea for Dignity and Change

In a passionate plea, she encouraged the people of Haryana to stand up for their self-respect and advocate for change. “You must fight for your dignity and vote for change. It’s time for the BJP to step aside and for Congress to take the helm. Our leaders are committed to serving the people of Haryana,” she declared, reinforcing the need for a shift in governance.

Campaigning Together

Finally, joining her in Ambala was Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, as they campaigned for the Congress party in both Ambala and Kurukshetra. With the election date fast approaching, the message was clear: it’s time for a new direction for Haryana.
