On Monday, the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, actively reshuffled its Cabinet, welcoming five new ministers into the ranks. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Raj Bhavan, where Governor Gulab Chand Kataria administered the oath of office and secrecy. Furthermore, this Cabinet reshuffle occurs shortly after AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal secured bail from the Supreme Court. His release from Tihar Jail, related to the excise policy case, adds an intriguing backdrop to these political developments.
In a related initiative, on September 7, Chief Minister Mann assured the youth of Punjab regarding job security. During an appointment letter distribution ceremony in Chandigarh, he criticized the previous government for neglecting the needs of the state’s young population.
During this event, officials issued a total of 293 appointment letters. Specifically, 263 went to the health department, 9 to technical education, and 21 to the water supply department. This emphasis on job creation clearly underscores the government’s commitment to empowering Punjab’s youth.
