In a rally in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Mohabbat ki Dukaan’ slogan. Modi accused those running “nafrat ki dukaan” (shops of hate) of masking their true intentions with “mohabbat ki dukaan” (shops of love). He also took aim at the Congress party, National Conference, and People’s Democratic Party, warning that their election promises would return the region to days of school fires and daily stone-pelting.

He warned that their manifestos would lead to the return of school burnings, stone-pelting, and strikes. Modi criticized the opposition for displaying “mohabbat ki dukaan” (shops of love) while actually running “nafrat ki dukaan” (shops of hate). He also condemned them for using the Constitution to cover up their “misdeeds” and for depriving Pahadi, SC, ST, and OBC communities of their reservations.

He criticized them for disrespecting the Constitution’s core principles, questioning why there were two Constitutions and why reservations for Pahadi, SC, ST, and OBC communities were denied. Modi emphasized that the BJP government has now granted these reservations and extended voting rights to many for the first time, highlighting that the opposition had deprived some of these rights for 75 years despite carrying the Constitution in their pockets.
Prime Minister Modi questioned Congress‘s intentions, citing its president’s statement: “If we had won 20 more seats, all BJP leaders, including Modi, would be in jail.” Modi asked if this was truly Congress’s agenda.
