Haryana Election Update: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has unveiled its sixth & seventh lists of candidates, featuring 19 & 3 new names.

Just hours before the nomination deadline for the October 5 Haryana Assembly Elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released its sixth & seventh list of candidates, announcing 19 & 3 new names.

A day prior, AAP had unveiled a list of 21 candidates. With the party going solo in Haryana, a state bordering its Delhi and Punjab strongholds, the push is on to make a mark.

Senior leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia stated that Haryana’s electorate is ready for a change, seeking improvements in education, healthcare, free electricity, and job opportunities. Following the collapse of alliance talks with Congress, AAP introduced 40 star campaigners, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Haryana chief Sushil Gupta, and senior leaders Raghav Chadha and Sanjay Singh. Sunita Kejriwal, also a star campaigner, has launched a campaign promising free electricity, mohalla clinics, Rs 1,000 monthly aid for women, employment for youth, and enhanced education.

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, at the Uchana nomination event, suggested that the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) would face a significant loss, urging voters to support AAP’s Pawan Fauji instead. Chadha predicted that the BJP would secure fewer than 20 seats and emphasized that any new Haryana government would require AAP’s support, highlighting Kejriwal’s connection to Haryana as a key factor in the party’s appeal.
