Parliament passes the Waqf Bill after Rajya Sabha endorsement after a 12-hour debate.

The Parliament passed the Waqf (Alteration) Bill, 2024 in the early hours of Friday after the Rajya Sabha gave its endorsement, following after 12-hour-long debate over the proposed enactment. The charge, which seeks to move forward the organization and administration of waqf properties in India, With 128 votes in support of the charge, as against 95.

The Lok Sabha passed the Bill with a 288-232 vote in the small hours of Thursday after about 12 hours of debate.

They made guarantees to deceive the individuals, but none of them have been satisfied,” he said. Taking a bow at Union Domestic Servant Amit Shah, Rai said, “The BJP has a lion’s share and is doing anything it wants. Be it demonetization, GST, or the Waqf Charge, the government is making choices singularly, neglecting the concerns of the people.”
