On Thursday, the Congress Released its fifth list of two candidates for Haryana Assembly Elections bringing a total of 88 candidates.
Earlier Congress released its fourth list of five candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections. The new candidates are Parimal Pari (Ambala Cantt), Sachin Kundu (Panipat Rural), Satbir Dublain (Narwana, SC), Sarva Mitra Kamboj (Rania), and Rohit Nagar (Tigaon).
This announcement followed the third list, which included 40 candidates and saw MP Randeep Surjewala‘s son, Aditya Surjewala, running from Kaithal.

The Congress had been negotiating a seat-sharing deal with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), but talks have stalled, and the AAP has since released several lists. Some Congress members are wary of allying with Arvind Kejriwal’s party.
Friday marks the final day for filing nominations. On Friday, the Congress also announced 32 candidates, including former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda (Garhi Sampla-Kiloi), state unit chief Udai Bhan (Hodal), and wrestler Vinesh Phogat (Julana). Earlier, the party had declared 31 candidates and later confirmed Balbir Singh for Israna (SC).
The party also announced nine more candidates on Sunday, renominating all 28 incumbent MLAs. In addition to Hooda, Bhan, and Phogat. Mewa Singh will contest from Ladwa against Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
Haryana’s assembly elections are scheduled for October 5, with vote counting on October 8.
