Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has formally requested a meeting with Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, which has been scheduled for 4:30 pm tuesday i.e., 17th September, according to officials from the LG House. Sources within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) indicate that Kejriwal intends to use this meeting to submit his resignation. This follows Kejriwal’s surprising announcement on Sunday, in which he stated his intention to step down from his position. The timing of his resignation comes in the wake of his recent release from Tihar Jail, where he spent nearly six months related to the excise policy case.
