A shocking incident inside a government school

LPU violence has triggered a political debate in Punjab over student safety, law and order and the government's response. While opposition leaders have made allegations about political involvement and outsiders, Punjab Police has subsequently identified people carrying walkie-talkies as Indian Army personnel. With the SIT investigation continuing, the verified findings will be important in determining the facts behind the unrest.

Bihar's political landscape has witnessed a fresh controversy after two newly elected Independent Members of the Legislative Council, Banshidhar Brajwasi and Rahul Raj, announced their association with the BJP following the recent council elections. The development triggered strong objections from the RJD and Jan Suraaj Party, which questioned the constitutional validity of the move and demanded disqualification proceedings. However, the controversy took another turn when the two MLCs clarified that they had extended support to the BJP rather than formally joining the party.
