Grew out of the 2011-12 India Against Corruption movement, launched 26 November 2012. Won a landslide in Delhi's 2015 election and later expanded to govern Punjab from 2022.
Achievements
Built its profile on subsidized electricity/water and school/health clinic reforms in Delhi. Lost Delhi in the February 2025 election after over a decade in power there; continues governing Punjab under CM Bhagwant Mann.
